Rates of leukemia, cancer, stillbirths, and skin disease have significantly increased among the local population, and still very little has been done. $6 billion is the cost of remediation alone. It is a moving tool not only for alerting the issue but for initiating a dialogue about how the cost of human and natural life should be weighed against the cost of oil.
